Wedding Re-Cap

All this wedding talk is making me realize I never wrote a post about our one year anniversary. It has officially been one year and 3 months that we have been married...forever...I know. Our wedding was of course one of the best days of my life! I am a super anal, decorating, love to party plan, obsessed with small details kind of girl, so of course I had all these small things that "had to make the day complete". Everything turned out perfect and in the end the small things I was so worried about didn't even matter. (ok maybe for cuteness and effect but that is besides the point.) The only thing that DID matter was my handsome husband waiting for me at the end of that isle. It was an amazing day and we are so thankful we were able to celebrate it with our families and friends. Here is our wedding re-cap in photos.

March 11, 2011. A day I will remember like it was yesterday. For our one year anniversary we took a cruise through the Carribean. It was such a relaxing "escape from reality trip". It is amazing how one year has flown by already. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!

Here Comes the Bride

My best friend since third grade, Christine, is finally getting married! She has been dating her fiance' for six years now and he has finally popped the question! Last weekend Amy, Caitlin, and I (her three bridesmaids) threw her a wedding shower at my house. It turned out wonderful and we made a lot of neat things for it! The theme we went with was kind of a sunflower/garden theme. She is getting married at a farmhouse in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the fall and is using sunflowers, so we figured that it would tie together nicely.  Here are some of our creations for her lovely Sunday shower.

The welcome table had a book that guests could leave advice for the bride and groom.

The only boy allowed at the party! Kaleb our cutie and of course his mommy, Anika.

                                                        Best friends since third grade.

                                                             The beautiful BRIDE!

These hangers I am obsessed with! I really wish I knew about these around the time of my wedding. I think they are just the cutest gift! Christine and her Mom were going shopping for her wedding dress this week so we thought this would be the perfect little touch!

This game I had heard of but never actually played. It was a huge hit! We had three teams and each team had to design a toilet paper wedding dress for one of the bridesmaids. At the end of the game the bride chooses a winner based on her favorite dress. Here are the three toilet paper "brides". Caitlin on the left won based on the dress style Christine would actually wear.

Some of the girls with the most amazing cupcakes ever!

We can't wait to see her walk down the isle in October! It will definitely be a wedding to remember. I'm sure I'll be blogging about the wedding so stay tuned for fall wedding pictures!
